Limiting fructose on the low FODMAP diet can be a bit confusing at first.
During a low FODMAP diet, it's only the foods that contain fructose in excess of glucose that we need to be mindful of. This is why a food such as sugar, with a high fructose and glucose content, is low FODMAP, but mango is considered high FODMAP. Although we typically associate fructose with fruit it is also found in vegetables including asparagus, broccoli and sugar snap peas.
